Kleemann ECU programming is the way to go for sure for Diesel Mercedes vehicles. Their programmers have been known to get increases of 45 HP, and around 100 lb/ft, of torque with their ECU tune. They also do all the "usual" things, like remove the speed limiter and program for better throttle response.

The ECU needs to be removed and shipped for programming.

Kleemann's KD-Box only modifies the fuel pressure sensor signal going to the ECU, not the actual program in the ECU.
