Porsche 997.2 Turbo Carbon Fiber Y-Pipe by Werks1 (W1-997-2-YPC)

Werks1 operates with one guiding principle, stay ahead of the competition by making direct replacement functional carbon fiber parts that look beautiful and enhance the performance of your car. So the moment Porsche released the 2010 911 Turbo with it's 3.8L direct injection motor to replace the 3.6L, the team at Werks1 was already hard at work tearing it apart and searching for areas that were hiding potential performance benefits. Although the new engine is very different from the outgoing 3.6L, they found that it's also very similar in many ways, sharing many parts from the old Turbo. One part the team at Werks1 hoped would be improved on the new car was the OEM plastic Y-pipe, but no dice. Luckily, the new Y-pipe is extremely similar to the one on the outgoing Turbo, so Werks1 was able to quickly redesign a few key areas of their carbon fiber Y-pipe to make it work.

The first thing you'll notice about the new-for-2010 Werks1 carbon fiber Y-pipe is that it's beautiful to look at. The perfect carbon fiber weave is finished in a stunning glossy clearcoat and includes all the factory bevels and fittings making it a perfect fitting direct replacement for the Porsche's part. But it's what you can't see that makes the Werks1 Y-pipe actually perform better then the original. Because it's constructed of 100% carbon fiber rather then a cosmetic overlay, Werks1 was able to make the outer dimensions of the Y-pipe identical to the factory part, while using thinner walls that actually increase the inner diameter by up to 10%. This increase in inner diameter allows a greater amount of air to flow to exactly where it's needed most, the engine. Best of all, the Werks1 carbon fiber Y-pipe weighs in at a measly .5 lbs, nearly two pounds lighter then the plastic part you're going to replace with it. Good looks, better performance, and lighter weight. What are you waiting for, add the Werks1 Y-pipe to your shopping cart and see what you've been missing.
Werks One Composites

Werks One Composites, a subsidiary of the Champion Group, was established to set a new standard in carbon fiber products for Porsche vehicles.
The primary goal of Werks One is to deliver a functional part that equals, and often surpasses, the fitment of the factory piece it replaces.
Our in-house design team utilizes the most advanced technology during the development of each product. Before the design phase even begins, our
CMM Digitizing Arm is used to reverse engineer the existing part and all of its surroundings.

Using the latest in CAD/CAMM software, the acquired data is then used to design the Werks One product. Before an actual product is finalized, a full scale
rapid-prototype model is created to further test fitment and performance. Final production of a Werks One part begins once all tests have been verified and
that the part meets the high standards that we have set. The countless hours spent in research and development is a testament of our drive to produce the
perfect part. Everything we do is developed with the user in mind, allowing for quick installation with no permanent modifications necessary.
The quest for excellence in the design and fabrication of our products constitutes the very soul of Werks One Composites.
