Race seats are the perfect addition to your track car. However, the seats are designed for true race cars and installing them into street cars can be tricky. The biggest challenge is getting them to fit. The seats are intended to bolt straight to the floor. However, most drivers want them to be positioned on sliders. This not only adds height, it also requires custom fabrication to get the side mounts to fit properly. The width of the seat and the width of the tunnel play a HUGE roll in the amount of custom fabrication the brackets require for the install. The majority of taller drivers struggle to find a balance of a properly fitting seat and sitting low enough so that their helmet has plenty of clearance with the roof.
