GMP Performance is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, donating the raffle ticket proceeds each year from our Spring Open House. Following the first open house event, we wanted to do more to raise awareness for this great cause and their Sport-A-Shirt campaign gave us an opportunity to help out again. On national Sport-A-Shirt Day, we pledge to shed our "blacked-out" uniforms to work in the years specially designed shirt for the day. In addition, we will take a group shot and post it on our social media outlets to help raise awareness for this worthy cause. Many of us have stories of family or friends that have benefited from the Ronald McDonald House and we are asking all of our staff, vendors and clients to help us spread the word.
We hope to have everyone's support and are offering the shirts for sale on our website. We will turn in our group order and pickup the shirts a week prior to the official Sport-A-Shirt day. On the day of the event, we will hand out the shirts at our shop at 9am and then take a group picture at 9:15am. Please come be a part of something bigger. For those that are not local, we will mail out the shirts so that you will have them for the day of the event. Take your picture in front of your car or building and tag us, or email the image and we will post it to our timeline. What is Sport-A-Shirt, Share-A-Night?
Sport-A-Shirt, Share-A-Night is teamwork, volunteering, and telling the Ronald McDonald House story. It’s wearing a t-shirt for one day to show that you are part of something bigger.
Sport-A-Shirt, Share-A-Night is a night when thousands of people at hundreds of companies across North Carolina will “sport” a $10 Ronald McDonald House t-shirt in order to “share” a stay for one night at Ronald McDonald House with a family in need. This year we will unite in wearing our $10 t-shirts on TBA
Although it costs more than $89 to host a family for one night at Ronald McDonald House, families are asked to contribute only $15 per night for their stay. For many families, even this small amount is a financial burden. Ronald McDonald House never turns a family away due to inability to pay, and so we are inviting members of the Charlotte community to sponsor these families in need.
