Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit (A0300A)

$2,995.00 Each

Front splitters are very effective at producing front end downforce without increasing drag significantly. They do this by creating a large pressure delta between the top and bottom surfaces. We then properly sized the splitter based on the rear wing and a proper aero balance to ensure reduced lap times.

The splitter is produced from a carbon thermoplastic, which is the same material used in high forms of Motorsports. The material is not brittle, so no more issues with cracking like carbon fiber and ABS. It will not grab and bend under the car like aluminum units either. It is a great splitter material that abrades and takes a beating without reducing performance or appeal.

*Not compatible with the 718 GT4RS.

SCIENCE

Front splitters, when designed properly, greatly increase front end grip and this is the case with our splitter and the 718 GT4.  Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software, we were able to extract more performance from the front splitter, air dam, and diffuser combo through an iterative design process. We were also able to properly size the front splitter and dive planes to counteract the rear wing and diffuser; creating a safe and effective aero balance.

The front splitter is part of our Ventus 2 Kit for the Porsche 718 GT4. The Ventus 2 kit boosts downforce significantly from the factory vehicle. The goal was to create a package that dramatically improved the aerodynamic performance from a factory 718 GT4 in a safe and balanced package for the typical track/HPDE enthusiast. Another goal was to retain street-ability from the aerodynamic components; with reasonable front splitter stick out and rear wing widths.

Why Trust Verus Engineering For Your Performance Parts?

Verus (pronounced Veh-rus) is Latin for true or complete. We strongly believe in engineering as a whole and as a means to gain knowledge and solve complex problems. Since our company comprises primarily of engineers, we wanted to bring our passion for engineering to our name.

When it comes to performance car parts, Verus Engineering stands out as a top choice due to our relentless dedication to quality, innovation, and performance enhancement. Our comprehensive approach to design, rigorous testing, and meticulous manufacturing process ensures that every performance part remains to the highest standard. We start with designs using state-of-the-art methods that are validated and tested under the most rigorous track conditions to guarantee durability and longevity.

When purchasing from Verus, you're not just buying a car part but investing in a meticulously designed product crafted to elevate your vehicle's performance to the next level.

Our Tools Of The Trade

We can provide the best aftermarket car parts because we understand your vehicle's systems and what impacts performance. We are well-versed in:

? Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

? Finite element analysis (FEA)

? Heat transfer

? Thermodynamics

By understanding these principles, we can create aftermarket parts that outperform factory components and the competition. We get exceptional results by using the following tools of the trade:

Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

We can bring nearly anything to life thanks to our expertise in various design techniques. This

includes sheet metal, simple 3D designs, and surfacing techniques. We can then apply our designs using a variety of manufacturing methods such as:

?  Sheet metal components

?  Machined components

?  Plastic-injected components

?  Plastic blow-molded parts

?  Vacuum Formed Components

?  Cast components (various materials)

?  Forged components

?  Composites

?  And More

Reverse Engineering

We utilize reverse engineering daily to create our own components and those requested by

customers. Verus can help you design, improve, and manufacture any idea or component you

have in mind. We have extensive experience in all vehicle systems and craft components used

in:

? Engines

? Heat exchanging

? Suspensions

? Drivelines

? Aerodynamics

We can help with nearly any project!

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

CFD is our forte and a useful processing technique for any situation where a fluid (air, water, oil,

coolant) is flowing. We can test both internal and external flow and various fluids. For internal

applications, this can help us increase heat rejection and decrease pressure drop in heat

exchange applications. CFD can also be used to find possible bottlenecks and aid in the design

of manifolds. Externally, we can predict how components impact a vehicle's lift (downforce),

drag, and aerodynamic balance.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

FEA allows us to test complex shapes and loads on components that would otherwise be very

difficult to estimate through hand calculations. Components can be made lighter and stronger

through multiple design iterations than their OEM counterparts. This process is a potent and

helpful tool when in the right hands. We have significant experience using FEA to improve

suspension components and aerodynamic, load-carrying components, but this can be expanded

to other projects.

3D Scanning

A highly accurate 3D scanner improves reverse engineering and design engineering

capabilities. We can easily scan most objects, which greatly helps the engineering process. In

addition, the portability of hand-held scanners allows us to scan items both large and small all

over the country depending on the project at hand.
