50th Anniversary Party - Saturday, May 24th, 2025
On May 24th, 2025, we marked a major milestone; 50 years of German Motoring Passion, with an unforgettable weekend of celebration, community, and cars.
We kicked things off at our Charlotte location with a People’s Choice Car Show featuring standout Audis, BMWs, Mercedes', Porsches, and Volkswagens. Enthusiasts from near and far joined us to tour the shop, check out product displays, and vote for their favorite vehicles.
Guests enjoyed a variety of food truck offerings — with Carolina Smash Truck's signature grilled cheese sandwiches and southern comfort food from Tiny Biscuit — while Old Mecklenburg Brewery kept spirits high with their signature brews on tap. Our showroom was open for tours throughout the day, with an A1GP Ferrari race car on display front and center, thanks to our friends at Capristo. A continuous hour-long slideshow played on the wall, highlighting memorable moments, vehicles, and milestones from the past five decades — a visual tribute to the journey we've shared with our community.
We made sure to keep the whole family entertained with slot car racing, bounce houses, and more. The first 50 registrants received goodie bags, and everyone who signed up got raffle tickets for some great prizes. The afternoon wrapped up with a cake cutting, awards presentation, and a big group photo in front of the shop.
That evening, we kept the momentum going just down the road at Old Mecklenburg Brewery’s bier garden for a casual hangout with friends, customers, and the GMP team.
