50th Anniversary Party - Saturday, May 24th, 2025
We are proud to announce that we are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year! Half a century of German Motoring Passion deserves a grand celebration and we would love for you to be a part of it! After all, this milestone would not be happening without you! Please join us to commemorate the past 50 years, and cheers to the next 50 to come!
On Saturday, May 24th, we will host a people's choice car show with shop tours, raffle prizes, product displays, food trucks and activities for all ages. The next day, we will take a cruise to the NC mountains for lunch.

Saturday, May 24th, 2025 : 11:00am - 3:00pm
People's Choice Car Show
Come out and vote on your favorite Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen. Each vehicle that wants to be voted on must register as a show car. Upon arrival, participants will be directed into a designated section and receive a number to put on the dash. Voting will go until 2:00pm so the earlier you arrive, the more time attendees have to vote.
Awards
We will have custom trophies for each people’s choice winner (5) as well as a few special awards for the farthest traveled attendee, oldest GMP Invoice, oldest GMP catalog, and the OG award to the car that attends with the earliest GMP mods.
Food
We have invited food trucks to offer a variety of options for everyone. Of course, Haus Heidelburg will be onsite with their truck to provide German specialties in addition to more traditional lunch options. Our showroom will be converted into a fest halle with tables and chairs for everyone to relax and enjoy lunch.
Beverages: Prost!
Cheers to 50 years! Our neighbors at the Old Mecklenburg Brewery are coming out with their beer trailer to offer their favorites fresh and on tap.
Slideshow & Video
The showroom will have a 20'x40' slideshow projected on the wall to take a look back through the years at the cars, events, and people that have been a part of our journey. We have also setup a video submission board for those that want to help us tell our story by sharing theirs. To share your story, please click here.
Activities
We have activities for all ages of kids: Slot car racing, bounce house, tire toss, and other fun.
Registration & Raffle
The show is free to attend. We ask that you register ahead of time so that we can plan for enough food and beverages for everyone. You can also register on the day of the show until 1pm. Everyone that registers for the event will receive a raffle ticket at the registration table as well as a people’s choice ballot.
Goodie Bags
The first 50 people to sign-up will receive a goodie bag with a special edition shirt. The shirts will be available for sale

We are planning to have a group photo with everyone that joined us for the celebration.

Saturday night after the event wraps up and we are cleaned up, we will head over to our neighbors at Old Mecklenburg Brewing for a casual get together in their bier garden. The outdoor family friendly atmosphere is perfect to keep the good times rolling and everyone is welcome to join.
Sunday, May 25th, 2025 : 10:00am - 3:00pm
Mountain Rally Cruise Our business is all about enhanicng the driving experience so Sunday morning, we will head out from Charlotte and go on a group cruise to the beautiful NC mountains. We will take a scenic 2hr drive to a lunch spot and then head back. The route and location are TBD as it depends on how many enthusiasts will be joining us and which restaurant can seat that many. and head back.
Tentative Drive Schedule
9:30am-10:00am : Coffee & Doughnuts Served - Fuel for the Drive
10:00am-12:00pm : Depart Charlotte location & drive to the mountains
12:00pm-1:00pm : Lunch in Western NC Mountains to bring support to the community rebuilding from Hurricane Helene.
1:00pm-3:00pm : Return to Charlotte - Farewell
