APR chips are available in an octane specific version for the octane of gasoline that you typically run in your car. The power that the chip makes also depends on which ECU is in your vehicle. The A3 2.0T ECU can be upgraded via DirectPort Programming.

All APR chip upgrades use encryption, which serve several purposes. First, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. **note: The Fuel Pressure valve on some earlier 2.0T FSI models require change of earlier type pressure limiting valve. Earlier cars have regulatorss at 110bar where the newer valves are at 130bar. This will not change the performance of the engine, but will give the fuel system more headroom. The factory superceed this part to a newer valve, because they were having fuel limit problems on stock cars. The part number for the newer, updated valve is 06D 130 757 C and is called a "pressure limiting valve" according to the factory parts system. The older valve's part number was 06D 130 757 B. This valve must be checked before chipping the FSI engines to make sure its the newer version. The price of additional valve and fitting time where applicable not included.
