VW Golf/Jetta MK5 4-Cylinder Engine Side Mount (610VFA0603)

The VW factory Engine side mount connects the engine to the chassis and was designed as a soft flexible mount, to provide a very comfortable drive. A drawback is the high amount of engine movement under torque load and on hard acceleration. This engine "slop" greatly decreases stability and smoothness under high performance driving conditions and rapid gear selection. The factory mount is constructed from a die-cast alumuminium mount which houses a large soft rubber bush with a vulcanised cast strut. The rubber bush contains a viscous oil cavity to abosrb shock. The 1-piece OEM rubber bush does not completely fill the pocket inside the mount casing - leaving it prone to break under severe driving conditions. The drawback of the OEM design for 'performance minded' drivers is that long term stresses from power enhanced engines tends to cause premature wear of the both the driver and passenger side engine mounts: which either leak their viscous dampner becoming very sloppy or the aluminium casing cracks completely. VF-Engineering designed, tooled up and manufactured a complete new replacement, containing specially desinged molded high durometer polyurethane bushes. The mount is constructed from billet (ingot) aluminum and supplied with high tensile hardware. Billet is physically twice as strong as cast and this mount is designed for strength. Fitting should take no more than 60 minutes. Specifications: • Direct replacement part • high tensile hardware • Custom manufactured high durometer polyurethane • Sealed surface "cast look" finish • Body CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum Fits The Following Cars: Golf/GTI/Jetta Mk5 4 Cyl

We’ve heard some pretty clever guesses: Vigorously Force-fed, Very Fanturbulous, Victorious Fanatics. In truth, we picked the V and F simply because the name VF-Engineering was available. The acronym doesn’t mean anything. Now what VF-Engineering stands for is far more important and it’s something no amount of clever marketing or pretty pictures can achieve. Microdata-measuring-arm-1-of-1 Every part, line of code or supercharger system that leaves with the VF label stands for the paragon in design, engineering and performance. It means your car is running the best there is. After years of spirited use, more than 93 percent of VF Supercharging Systems are still running strong, many on their second and third owners. That’s a great testament to solid design and robust fabrication. That’s what we want VFE to mean. VF Engineering has been located in Orange County, CA for nearly 20 years now. Our facility measures some 15,000 sq-ft and includes a Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, 4 Hunter lifts, a big photo studio, R&D room with a rapid prototyper, and a clean room for ECU board work. We’ve also got this big-ass red couch. Not sure where it came from but it has a magical effect on cars. They always make a few extra hp when the red couch is there.
