CV Boot Replacement

The CV boot protects the axle joint from road grime and damage. The boots can crack due to age and normal wear and tear, and a lowered vehicle can add stress to these components even more. Once cracked, water and debris get in there, especially during the rainier winter months, cleaing out the protective grease and can cause the axle's joint to go bad. Catching and replacing a cracked boot early can prevent the costlier axle replacement later. You can perform a quick check for a major crack by looking on the inside of your wheels or fender lining for grease to be "slung" on these surfaces. Visit GMP for a more thorough inspection of your inner and outer CV boots.
