BMW E9x M3 ESS Tuning VT2-625 Intercooled Supercharger System (108-60x-2)

The mid-level intercooled E9X M3 VT2-625 supercharger system produces 625hp and 410lb-ft of torque at 6.5-7psi of boost. A 211hp gain over stock, which is more than a Mercedes SLS Black Series. Featuring the self contained Vortech V3 supercharger unit in Si trim, the supercharger is capable of producing up to 775hp. The VT2-625 comes with the largest capacity liquid intercooler system on the market integrated within a specially developed cast aluminum intake manifold assembly ‘ribbed’ with optimized runners and velocity stacks. This ensures the intake charge temps remain in check during prolonged use on the track, autobahn, or street. The manifold was designed not only for optimum flow, but for minimal weight to not disrupt the iconic handling balance of the M3 The supercharger system includes the ESS E-Flash OBD2 cable and specific ESS MSS60 engine software that is perfectly calibrated for the VT2-625 supercharged engine providing optimum ignition timing under all conditions, recalibrated throttle control for quicker throttle response, recalibrated VANOS control, and perfectly optimized fuel delivery. The E-Flash allows the end user to upload the supercharger ECU software from any PC running Windows XP or newer and includes a full diagnostic and code clearing capability. Any future ESS software updates can be received by email and loaded directly to the car. The stock ECU software will be saved and can easily be restored in the future. Power delivery is 100% smooth and OEM-caliber. The car behaves just like stock until you demand power, then the car completely transform providing brutal acceleration normally reserved for pure race cars.

The system maintains all OBD-II functions and it is backed by a comprehensive 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty program. The system takes 8-14 hours to install using normal hand tools and no irreversible modifications to the car are necessary.

ESS was founded 1995 in Aremark, Norway. The company started out with a yearly production of 30 SC systems, in 2004 total production passed 1000 SC systems making us the largest BMW supercharger system manufacturer in the world. From 2000, we started offering a constantly growing chip tuning selection for many European models based on our extensive expertise with Bosch and Siemens engine control systems.

In September 2005 our San Diego, California based sales and support center was opened which serviced the North American market. In 2009 we purchased a new manufacturing facility in Phoenix, USA and moved our US sales and marketing team into the same building.

Our goal when developing a new tuning product is to enhance the performance characteristics of the car without compromising comfort, drivability, durability, emissions and fuel consumption under normal driving conditions.

We spend countless hours dyno testing, road testing, and fine tuning engine management software in order to find the perfect engine balance and smoothest power delivery under all load conditions.

1. Our extended computerized load dyno test which simulates driving so hard that it is just not possible to drive this hard in real life.
2. We put the development cars through a 50000 mile (80000km) long term test which involves track driving, extreme heat and cold testing, high-speed Autobahn driving for extended periods, and normal everyday driving.
3. The car must have factory like or better driveability and smoothness and it must develop the extra power in a perfectly balanced manner.

When we meet these 3 goals with 100% success then, and only then, the product is released for sale.
