How to tell if a clutch is failing:

When a clutch disc is in its final stages of life it gradually loses its ability to withstand torque. This is most evident in your car's highest gear and at maximum load (full throttle and peak boost). If you try to pass somebody on the highway and your engine is accelerating but your car isn’t than you are feeling a slipping clutch. This will progressively get worse until the car is no longer able to be driven in the higher gears and finally it will stop moving altogether. It is advisable to make an appointment with a qualified technician the first time you experience the clutch slip.
