Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 Verus Engineering Dual Element Dive Plane Kit (A0151A)

$995.00 Set of 4

The Dive Planes for the Porsche 981 GT4 were specifically designed to increase front-end downforce, increase the high-pressure airflow to the factory intake duct, and to keep drag increase minimal. They produce a safe aero balance with or without the addition of our rear diffuser.  The units were designed in CAD using scan data and optimized using CFD within ANSYS Fluent. These units are constructed from 1.5mm thick pre-preg, autoclaved cured, 2x2 twill carbon, with a matte clear finish. Dive planes also referred to as canards, allow you to shift the aero balance forward, possibly aiding you and your setup in balancing out a large rear wing or diffuser. FEATURES CFD Optimized for Improved Performance Shift Aero Balance Forward (Improves Front End Grip) Allows Fine-Tuning of Aero Balance (Forward Biased) Simple Bolt-On or Double-Sided Tape Installation with Templates (Included) SPECIFICATIONS 2x2 Weave, Autoclave Cured, 1.5mm Thick Carbon Fiber Matte, UV Resistant, Automotive Grade Clear Stainless Hardware Throughout 3M VHB Double Sided Tape, Cut Specifically to Dive Plane Sizes Templates to Aid During Install SCIENCE Dive planes help tune the aerodynamic balance of a vehicle by shifting the balance forward without the need of a larger front splitter. A larger front splitter can be prohibitive to driving the car on the street, thus we were able to create a street-able package that produces enough front end downforce to balance the large rear wing and diffuser on our kit. We developed the dual dive plane kit to work well with our Ventus 2 Aero kit for the GT4. Another goal of the dual dive plane kit was to feed the intake ducts clean, high-pressure air to improve engine power. At high rates of speed, this high pressure can build-up in the intake and create a small supercharge effect (positive pressure) in the intake manifold to improve horsepower and torque. This also ensures that the GT4 is receiving the coldest air possible at the intake filter. WHAT IS INCLUDED     Dive Plane, Upper Left Dive Plane, Lower Left Dive Plane, Upper Right Dive Plane, Lower Right Install Template 3M VHB Tape (4 Pieces, 1 for each Dive Plane) Hardware Kit, Includes All Hardware for Install

Guided by advanced engineering principles and driven to craft the best aftermarket car parts on the market, Verus Engineering is your partner in automotive performance. We are auto enthusiasts like you and look forward to helping you get the most out of your vehicle.        Why Trust Verus Engineering For Your Performance Parts?     Verus (pronounced Veh-rus) is Latin for true or complete. We strongly believe in engineering as a whole and as a means to gain knowledge and solve complex problems. Since our company comprises primarily of engineers, we wanted to bring our passion for engineering to our name. When it comes to performance car parts, Verus Engineering stands out as a top choice due to our relentless dedication to quality, innovation, and performance enhancement. Our comprehensive approach to design, rigorous testing, and meticulous manufacturing process ensures that every performance part remains to the highest standard. We start with designs using state-of-the-art methods that are validated and tested under the most rigorous track conditions to guarantee durability and longevity.  When purchasing from Verus, you're not just buying a car part but investing in a meticulously designed product crafted to elevate your vehicle's performance to the next level. Our Tools Of The Trade     We can provide the best aftermarket car parts because we understand your vehicle's systems and what impacts performance. We are well-versed in: ? Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) ? Finite element analysis (FEA) ? Heat transfer ? Thermodynamics By understanding these principles, we can create aftermarket parts that outperform factory components and the competition. We get exceptional results by using the following tools of the trade: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) We can bring nearly anything to life thanks to our expertise in various design techniques. This includes sheet metal, simple 3D designs, and surfacing techniques. We can then apply our designs using a variety of manufacturing methods such as: ?  Sheet metal components ?  Machined components ?  Plastic-injected components ?  Plastic blow-molded parts ?  Vacuum Formed Components ?  Cast components (various materials) ?  Forged components ?  Composites ?  And More Reverse Engineering We utilize reverse engineering daily to create our own components and those requested by customers. Verus can help you design, improve, and manufacture any idea or component you have in mind. We have extensive experience in all vehicle systems and craft components used in: ? Engines ? Heat exchanging ? Suspensions ? Drivelines ? Aerodynamics We can help with nearly any project! Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) CFD is our forte and a useful processing technique for any situation where a fluid (air, water, oil, coolant) is flowing. We can test both internal and external flow and various fluids. For internal applications, this can help us increase heat rejection and decrease pressure drop in heat exchange applications. CFD can also be used to find possible bottlenecks and aid in the design of manifolds. Externally, we can predict how components impact a vehicle's lift (downforce), drag, and aerodynamic balance. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) FEA allows us to test complex shapes and loads on components that would otherwise be very difficult to estimate through hand calculations. Components can be made lighter and stronger through multiple design iterations than their OEM counterparts. This process is a potent and helpful tool when in the right hands. We have significant experience using FEA to improve suspension components and aerodynamic, load-carrying components, but this can be expanded to other projects. 3D Scanning A highly accurate 3D scanner improves reverse engineering and design engineering capabilities. We can easily scan most objects, which greatly helps the engineering process. In addition, the portability of hand-held scanners allows us to scan items both large and small all over the country depending on the project at hand.
